I have a friend....

who is fighting for his life right now. We were buddies in High School, did theatre, band, and choir together. He is just a year younger than me, has a wife and three young children. And facebook has given us a chance to catch up.

Please pray for Michael. He has Necrotizing Fasciitis, is unconscious, on a ventilator and as of tonite has taken a turn for the worse. Even after immediate surgery, where they have to leave a gaping wound open, there is another lump on the other side of his chest that just formed today. More CT scans, more surgery. Only a 50% chance of survival.

I totally and completely believe in the power of prayer.

Thank you for your prayers!

Hey! Guess what!

Who screams for fake icecream?
Meggie does!!!

Who cries when it falls out of her cup onto the floor?
Meggie does....

And Guess what else???
This camera I've had for 2 years or more has a video button on it. And it works! And it uploads on my computer. SNAP!

DUH.

What's up in the Mead family. Lots of things, too many to list - if you don't have my facebook, please add me cuz I'm better at putting pics up there.....

I have my 1st sprint tri of the season on June 13. Am I ready for it? not really....

Since I've joined the gym, I've lost about 8 lbs and 17 inches. Booyah. I'm almost 15 lbs lighter than when I did my first tri 2 years ago - which is a great thing!

It doesn't make up for the fact I've only been on my bike once this sprin/summer. *gulp*

I spent an hour with Rhys in urgent care this morning, as he busted his chin open at preschool. 3 stitches - such a big guy with no tears!

Meg is walking. Scratch that. Is RUNNING.

She's hilarious. She picks fights with Rhys so obviously thinks she's bigger than him. He tells me many times how much he loves his sister and when is he going to get a baby brother? *gulp* Um.....sorry pal.

Rhys' last day of preschool is next Friday. Wow....just....wow.

I bought him baseball pants at the local consignment shop. I know it sounds wrong, but i think he loves me just a bit more because of it.

Here's a little vid of my fav 17.5 month old:

Easter 2010

I know what you're saying. I am super bloggy lame! I know, I know, I know!!! I promise to do better!!! Ok - here are pics from today's Easter Celebrations:
Sleepy Meg finds an egg
Meg loved her peeps!!! If you could speak baby she is saying, "Stupid plastic covering!!!!"

Look ma - the Easter Bunny brought me new Iron Man rain boots!! Now my superhero look is complete!

Edward helped...
Jelly beans at 7:30am! SUGAR RUUUUUUSH!

Sad and grumpy Rhys, happy Meaghan:
She is still only taking a few steps at a time - she prefers to do that weird, downward dog walking pose, or just crawl or cruise to where she wants to go (or push anything she can manhandle across the room.) Instead of talking she does a lot of signing and a high pitched screaming sound like a pissed off orangatan (think Dumb and Dumbers most annoying sound in the world). But she is cuddly and funny and cracks us up as much as she can. She's awesome!
Rhys was pouting after church because he was really naughty during the service and Aaron had to pull a Don (his dad) and make him sit out in the van (with Aaron of course). So it was a strange Easter service, just me, Meg in the nursery, and a ton of kid debris around me.
In other news. I am training for a sprint triathlon in June. I've also got an idea for a book and am sketching out ideas (it's fiction and really just for fun) and joined a gym. My garden is getting whipped into submission and now the sunshiny days are outnumbering the cloudy ones.
Whooo hooo Spring!
Catchya later bloggerworld!

Did someone have a birthday/.

Here ye here ye! Rhys turned 5 on January 23rd - and I'm a month behind posting pictures!

Of course the royal birthday boy, Sir Rhys, had to knight his guests: Then on to the making of the crowns for all the knights and princesses, as well as coloring their swords for "Pin the Sword on the Knight" (Did you see the drawing on the door above? I freehanded it off a picture I found on the internet, Rhys colored it):

I found the dress and top at Goodwill - cut the top and ran ribbon through for the bodice for Zannie - doesn't she look lovely?

A real bike jersey was one of his presents!

The rest of the royal family (I sewed Aaron's tunic, and found Meg's dress and mine at goodwill and fancied mine up with lace and ribbon):

Uh- the cake. We had troubles, but not like last year. AND it tasted better than it looked! My fav was the moat with little Swedish fishes it in and all the guys I found at Michaels:

Meg hated her princess hat and was really unhappy when we took the sword away:

My BFF, Lauren, also dressed up with one of the Izzy:

Meg was so good with both babies:

Izzy and Hazel and the Queen Mum:

We also had a Dragon Egg hunt in the basement, the eggs were filled with chocolate coins, costume jewelry rings and tattoos. Then we had cake and icecream and present. And lastly played "Pass the Dragon" (much like Hot Potato) and then the kids played with the knight sets and toys in Rhys' room. Small, simple and fun for all on a cold, snowy day!
